Returns Policy

Kate Mead strives to meet all clients needs with all designs and continually strives to work at the best possibly standard and quality of service.

In the event that you are unhappy with your purchase we offer a seven day refund policy (excluding bespoke made to order designs), designs must be returned with the security label still fully attached and without fault or wearing. Please email to inform us of a return and the reason why as soon as possible from taking delivery of the goods, if an item is found to be faulty please notify us within three days of taking delivery.

Please note we have the right to refuse items for return if we suspect the piece has been worn or purposely damaged (this includes washing, please see ‘Product Information', and 'Product Care’. The item cost will be refunded excluding the postage and packaging fee. 



Products returned after the seven day period will not be refunded unless found to be faulty. In this instance an exchange or replacement will be offered in its place. Products returned after the seven day period will not be refunded, this does not affect your statutory rights.

Please note if you have purchased a piece from an exhibition or another stockiest no refunds are accepted through us and should be returned to the retailer.

Product Returns from Kate's Shows

Only products found to be faulty will be accepted for return from pieces purchased directly from Kate at a show event. A repair or replacement would always be offered. A refund maybe issued once return of the goods has been received – if the piece has been miss used or found to be purposely damaged any refund request will be declined.

Any refunds are issued using a cheque no more than 28 days after receipt of the returned goods.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

How do I return my piece?

Package the piece as it was dispatched complete with the attached label, using a signed for service please return it to the address which will be issued to you on receiving an email confirming your pending return.

Kate Mead is not held responsible for pieces lost in a return post, so we recommend a signed for service is always used, if a piece is of high value, Royal Mail Next day or Special Delivery will insure the goods up to £500 with a traceable service, please visit the Royal mail website for more details http://www.royalmail.com.

The post and packing cost must cover the cost of the item being returned, poorly packaged and returned items could affect the refund of an item. If the postage and packing cost has not been covered for the products returned the outstanding postage fee will be requested and deducted from the refund amount.

Where possible refunds will be credited to your original method of payment, if this is not possible a cheque will be issued. This will be issued no more than 28 days after receipt of the returned goods.
